Last week my cat ran away and my computer (the iMac, the nice one, the nearly brand new one) got stolen.

New card.

Sometimes I am a huge nerd in ways that make me cooler, the way that everyone loves to proclaim that they are a huge nerd dork all the time. But most of the time for me it's just dorky --

Tomorrow I am excited about

and getting a library card.

Yesterday I was faced with the question of whether to get a fancy new tiny shiny digital camera or a laser printer. Well, I'm pretty into my new laser printer, goddamnit.

Largest collection of Francesca Woodman images anywhere, on the internet or otherwise.

Works like shit in Safari ($20 to the first person who can tell me why it's all f'd up and how to fix it...), I would suggest using firefox. If you really want to use Safari try reloading the page about 10 times and then trying the url in a new window -- that seems to work.

The info section is severely lacking currently, but it was getting on 4am and I just wanted to upload everything and go to sleep. Check back in a few days and maybe that section will be better?

Next up for this project is scanning and gallery-izing all the images in the books that aren't on the estate disc, photographing and studing a real life copy of Some Disordered Interior Geometries (UCLA and The Getty both have it), transcribing all the text, finding films, finding more image resources, interviewing Sloan Rankin, and of course deflecting the lawsuit....






Next project is a visual catalogue of every drawing by Aubrey Beardsley, ever. I'm looking into it. Very seriously.

Concrete reasons I do not kill myself right now:

The only way I could be more of a disappointment than I already am. And it would probably make my parents cry.
Smaller, lower quality body of work than I'm comfortable with leaving.
Need to figure out that corralation between length of an artist's life and the time of their peak in creativity, and how that proves the existence of a collective unconscious and that art is the closest thing human being will ever have to god or a higher power.
It would screw Winona out of a roommate.
I own things. I don't like other people touching my things.
Haven't found (or made?) that book I keep having dreams about.
Still waiting for my forgiveness.
Haven't yet worn that $300 dress I got on ebay for $12.
My toilet is clogged.

I need to own a photocopier. Fer serious. I blame Scott Zukowski.
I should not be allowed in the library. I went in for one book, ONE BOOK, (okay, maybe two books...) and left two hours later with like ten. This is added to the ten I checked out yesterday. I've been at school for what, three days? I hate myself.
